Do you want to understand climate change without reading lots of scientific papers?
Do you half understand the science but not get the whole picture?
If the above sounds like you, we warmly invite you to join our Climate Fresk workshop.
The workshop was perfectly put together… I especially loved the action toolkit
The best part was the community & toolkit!
The workshop was super interactive and informative without feeling overwhelming
Elspeth brilliantly facilitated the session: everyone had an opportunity to contribute
A Climate Fresk is a 3 hour science-based, gamified workshop developed by scientists and academics to empower people to engage with climate science in a user-friendly way.
The workshop enables you to understand the interconnected causes and consequences of climate change and provides the tools to help your business start to break the ‘inaction cycle’.
There are plenty of workshops and webinars on climate change, but three things make the Climate Fresk unique.
The Climate Fresk methodology is based on world-class climate science including the IPCC report.
The problem with science papers and IPCC reports?
They’re very long and complicated (and dare we say… a bit boring?).
The Climate Fresk makes cutting-edge science available to all, in an engaging 3 hour session.
You really don’t have to be an expert to get the most out of a Climate Fresk - anyone can join!
No science-y background needed or previous understanding of climate change.
The game is cleverly designed to ensure all participants learn the science of climate change.
If you do have an understanding of climate change, the workshop will help you understand climate change’s wider impacts and interconnectivity with other socio-environmental issues.
This isn’t a lecture so you can’t just sit and listen (or, realistically, zone out)!
The gamified format of the Climate Fresk means it is highly engaging by design and thus much easier to absorb and understand the scientific information.
You will collaborate with fellow participants to complete the simple exercises which, when combined, provide an understanding of the causes and consequences of climate change.
“Really enjoyed how interactive and informative this workshop was and loved the chance to work with people from different sectors on such an important topic. Having the opportunity to learn about what actions we can take as individuals that can drive the greatest impact was also very useful.”
– Polly Lomas, Head of Strategy & Impact, Sustainable Tourism
“I enjoyed that there was a diverse knowledge group; it made this experience less intimidating.”
– Dr Nuhaila Al- Rawahi, Petroleum Development Oman
“It was very interactive (thus engaging and easy to retain) while dealing with a very scientifically intensive topic.”
